Besides picking up a Gleam Cream Highlighter, I wanted to check out the Hydra Veil as well, having read good raves about this moisturizer-cum-primer. Not wanting to invest in one so soon, I requested for a sample. Gotta commend on the staff though; they’re extremely patient and armed with good knowledge of their products. I shoot a question and they answer without the hem haw.

Developed to enhance makeup application and longevity, the gel consistency floods the skin with immediate hydration and is lightly laden with a cucumber-esque scent.

I place Hydra Veil in the fridge – like many of my primers(Laura Mercier; Eve Lom). The hydrating, firming and supple effects are immediately felt albeit temporal. By the time I’m done with the whole makeup routine, my powdered skin had began to cake despite salvaging attempts with MAC Mineralize Charged Water.

On the plus side, it prevents foundation from oxidizing. Using Estée Lauder Invisible Fluid Makeup as an example: 1) applied over bare skin; 2) applied over Hydra Veil

I can’t remember the exact price tag, except that it lies between S$50-S$60 range per pot. The Illamasqua counter in Singapore is located at Robinsons Orchard, 260 Orchard Road S(238855).

I had this when it first came out and works great but not so during the winter. I wouldn’t recommend for dry skin.

Oh dear! I wanted to get this but I got dehydrated skin too…

Request for a sample and give it a go. Remember that products work differently for individuals and I’m merely offering my opinion :)
