For my movie date last Friday, specific base products were used so little touch-up is needed although I did bring along my trusty Elizabeth Arden Concealer, just in case. In fact, I got home nearly 7 hours later to find my makeup still looking fresh and matte, with little blotting.

I only use the Smashbox Primer on selective occasions to keep my makeup intact and it effectively mattifies and smooths out my skin. The superb coverage of Revlon Whipped Foundation helps to mildly even out my skin tone and conceals blemishes then set with Guerlain Météorites. By the time my eye makeup is done, I would have seen a little shine thus I topped it off with a sweep of NARS Pressed Powder as the last step.

My eye makeup also showed no signs of creasing after a late night out; normally the Too Faced Shadow Insurance wouldn’t last past 5 hours but the Sephora Eyeliner works really well as a base and glides onto the skin easily without any tugging. I’d intended to get the Dior Brown Liner but was out of stock hence I got this as an alternative – a blessing in disguise with a friendly price tag to boot.

Using the eyeliner, I filled in the inner and outer corners before setting with a chocolate brown eyeshadow. I then blend a smidgeon of coral along the socket to give definition, and ivory beige right in the center. The same brown shadow is used to smudge the gel-liner on the lower lash line.

Such lovely eyes! Silent reader here but just had to comment about your makeup. I’m curious, which Dior eyeliner did you want to get?

Hello, was wondering if the palette is limited edition? I’m at the Takashimaya counter right now and they don’t have it. Even worst the SA have no clue about it! Helpplease!

Yes, it’s limited edition from their Spring collection few years ago. It’s available via eBay if you’re interested :)
