My bulk order of nail striping tape just arrived in the mail so thought I’ll try them out immediately.

I went for a 2-tone base –inspired by the Parted Pastels Manicure– so the result won’t look so bland as opposed to just using one. Let dry and then overlap in an intersecting fashion with striping tapes. Be sure to tap the adhesive down firmly, especially on the sides, or else the next round of lacquer will seep into any crevice.

I suggest using a colorless tape lest the pigment transfers onto your nails, like mine did with that out-of-place Hot Pink residue. Also, use a tweezers to better maneuver your design and it removes the stickers easily without ruining the outline.

I like that you use 2 base colour so it looks like a subtle gradient under the dark polish
