New Beauty Acquisitions

Category: Beauty Talk, Make Up, Product Write-Up, Skin Care

Here’s some of my recent purchases that attributed to my current makeup(and book) ban.

SexyLook Rejuvenating Duo LiftingBird Nest X Caviar
SexyLook Extreme Whitening Duo LiftingBlack Pearl X Truffles
Having used up several boxes of the Bird Nest variant in the last year, this time I decided to try something new – both key ingredients address pigmentation and aging issues. The main point of my multiple purchases was the fabric used that fits my facial contours perfectly, but this batch pales in comparison.

Dr. Morita EGF Platinum Mask
A Japanese brand but manufactured in Taiwan, this fancy range of facial masks stimulates elastin production and hydrates the skin immensely. There were at least 2 packs in the set of 10 that came without the cotton fabric; I used cotton pads instead and utilized the essence as a serum across the span of 4-5 days, storing the product in the fridge.

Sally Hansen Gel Cuticle Remover
An easy gel treatment, made up of Jojoba, Kiwi Extract and Wheat Protein, to soften and loosen excess cuticles. Hooray for DIY groomed nails!

Urban Decay Clean and Sober Oil-free Makeup Remover
Not sure if this has been discontinued but it’s no longer listed on the brand’s website, this was part of my online purchase to replace my trusty Nutrogena Eye & Lip Makeup Remover. Alas, the solution contained within the Mermaid imprinted bottle is largely meant for face, and has received several unfavorable reviews. I shall report on its efficiency soon.

K-Palette 24H Lasting 2-Way Eyebrow Liner in 01 Chocolate Brown
I’ve been using pencil and/or powder for the longest time, and this 2-way liner is a time-saver. The felt-pen tip gives swift strokes whereas the powder tip fills in sparse areas.

Revlon ColorStay™ Whipped Foundation in 220 Nude
There’s only 4 shades available in Singapore; Nude is the lightest and is a perfect match to my skin tone. The ColorStay Liquid Foundation was one of my very first purchases, and its high coverage is a favorite among many beauty junkies as well.

The new whipped consistency is extremely easy to blend, has equally superb coverage and I don’t need extra concealer on blemishes. Best of all, it lasts for hours!

MAC Cosmetics Amplied Creme Lipstick in Morange
This has been on my To-Lust-For List for the longest time but the shade is always out of stock. 3 precious quantities of this striking orange was allocated to the Robinsons Raffles City outlet and I promptly snapped one up! Enthused as the “perfect orange toned red“, the creamy, opaque formula livens up my complexion instantly.

Guerlain Météorites Perles in 02 Teint Beige
A post-birthday splurge; the perles are a mix of lavenders, pinks, beige, apricots and whites to add warmth and illuminate the complexion. This can be used as a setting powder as well, and its oil-controlling ability is pretty impressive!

Sigma F20 Large Powder Brush
I’d gotten this specially to go along with the Météorites, and its dense bristles make the tool essential to set your makeup.

A simple look using the foundation, eyebrow liner, Meteorites, and Morange to go along with my new top☆
