Here’s an overview of moisturizers I’ve recently amassed; and hope to put up their respective write-ups -the new launches- when time permits. Anyway, I’ve been slathering on thick but still gel/lotion-based moisturizers as a precautionary measure – my skin has always shown gradual signs of severe dehydration and patchiness 2 weeks before my monthly cycle. Water is the most important nutrient and comprises 3 quarters of the human mass. Apparently we lose 2 pints within a 24-hour period from the skin’s surface caused by weather and stress. With that in mind, we need to boost our moisture reserves to compensate and restore dwindling moisture levels.

Clarins HydraQuench Cream-Melt [ Product Write-Up; REVIEW ]
Now in my 3rd jar(and will continue to repurchase!), this is what keeps my skin from dehydrating during the aforementioned crucial time. Its refreshing texture may be thick but is water-based, leaving my skin feeling comfortable the whole time.

For my current regimen, I pair with 2 different serums – Philosophy‘s When Hope Is Not Enough for Day; Double Serum® for Night.

Philosophy Help Me Retinol Night Treatment
An anti-aging care that prompts speedy cell turnover and exfoliation, I hardly find it moisturizing on its own and am using in conjunction with Cream-Melt – this is in my current routine to remove dead skin cells as my complexion is always dull during this time.

Radical Skincare Anti-Aging Restorative Moisture
Created by the daughters of world renowned Professor of Plastic Surgery, Dr. Richard F. Edlich, this skincare line is packed with “300% more potent in antioxidant protection, increases hydration by 66%, reduces wrinkles by 50% and increases collagen and elasticity by 128%“. Smelling berrylicious, the gel texture is lighter than Cream-Melt and is suitable for use Day & Night. Expect a Write-Up later this week!

Elizabeth Arden Visible Difference Skin Balancing Night Cream
A light cream consistency for combination skin, it contains water-binding agents to prevent moisture loss. I’m still looking for a time-frame to commence usage. [ Product Write-Up ]

La Prairie Advanced Marine Biology Revitalizing Emulsion
A multitasking gel moisturizer for face, neck and eyes, I find it favorable under Singapore’ humidity but not hydrating enough for me at night. [ Product Write-Up ]

Origins Make A Difference™ Plus+ Rejuvenating Treatment

Both offering a refreshing gel but varying textures; Rejuvenating Treatment is catered for Combination/Oily skin types hence its lighter consistency whereas Rejuvenating Moisturizer is denser and is compatible for Combination/Dry skin types.
