Finally, here comes my verdict on the reformulated concealer by Elizabeth Arden! Previously available as the Ceramide Skin Smoothing Concealer [ REVIEW ], the retired product ultilizes light-diffusing pigments to create a soft-focus effect as it conceals blemishes and softens appearance of fine lines.
Thankfully, the reformulated Ceramide Ultra Lift and Firm Concealer possesses the very same qualities as its predecessor, but with skin-lifting properties.
Fortified with the anti-aging technology Ceramide Triple Complex that strengthens and hydrates the skin, the reformulated product is also enhanced with Cellular Plumping Technology targets deep-setting wrinkles to firm, lift and smoothen the appearance of skin.
Despite getting the same shade in 02 Fair, the reformulated concealer is lighter than the previous version – the color seems to adjust to my skin tone when applied on blemishes. The brightening effect is subtle but its hydrating formula goes on well over my dry eye area. There wasn’t any lifting effect though.
Like I’d mentioned in my previous review, anti-aging products infused with ceramides are often linked to dry skin. As such, the creamy consistency is excellent for use over powder and touch-ups, for it doesn’t cake over makeup. It comes in a tube that can last a good 3-5 months depending on your usage – I’m mainly using it on scars and its high coverage requires merely a dab.
Retailing for S$40, it comes in a tube that can last a good 3-5 months depending on your usage. I highly recommend this concealer, for it has become an integral part of my makeup routine. Singapore counters only carry 3 out of the 4 shades available – Ivory, Fair & Light – a limited selection for those with darker skin tones.
