Estée Lauder is extending its Sensuous Nude fragrance with an Eau de Toilette version (S$78 – 50ml) that aims to capture the vital essence of the original Eau de Parfum (S$92 – 50ml; S$138 – 100ml) with a new weightless radiance, by re-balancing its proportions and structure without changing a single note.

Hilary Rhona – New Face of Sensuous Nude EDT Campaign

Said to deliver a unique fragrance sensation with its “breakthrough and innovative” Air Light Mist – designed for all-over misting, ultra-thin droplets produce a light, airy, drier effect which is enhanced by the soft, relaxing sound that accompanies every spray.

Packaged in a frosted spherical bottle which symbolizes the sheerness of this delicate essence, and an exterior of a light pink-toned matte finish to reflect the scent’s textural sensuality, the overall presentation is outlined with an elegant Rose Gold cap embossed with the brand’s initials.

Taking up a notch of the traditional structure of Top, Heart and Base notes, the Sensuous Nude fragrances feature an assortment of warm, musky accords that evoke feelings of femininity and intimacy.
• Intimate – Sicilian Bergamot; Baie Rose; Mandarin; Black Pepper
• Feminine – Jasmine Petals; Muguet; Coconut Water; Honey; Musk
• Warm – Sandalwood; Amber; Musk; Heliotrope; Vanilla; Melted Woods NaturePrint®

The epitome of feminine self-expression, the fragrance makes one feel sensuous, sexy and sophisticated. It smells, to my fancy, like baby powder with a sharp nuance of vanilla. Once the perfume dries down, the Vanilla note remains distinctive along with the musky accords.
The EDT counterpart opens with a lighter, pristine whiff of Vanilla, but as it swiftly settles, the strong scent of Jasmine emerges which sorta threw me off a little. Fortunately the sweet base of Vanilla and Sandalwood forms a counter balance, pretty much like the EDP.
The major letdown is the lack of longevity – it barely lasted a full hour on my skin. A good solution is to layer over with Clarins Eau Dynamisante Invigorating Fragrance [ Write-Up ], a fellow woody, musky scent. While it doesn’t serve to prolong or enhance, the warm accords of the ED remain intact and take the place of Sensuous Nude when it evaporates.

Sensuous Nude EDT will be available at Estée Lauder counters from October 2012.

Thanks for the compliment! I took the pictures myself.
Does it smell fruity? I like these types.
Not really, it’s more of a woody musk.
