I’m thrilled to announce an exciting partnership with Essensuals Bugis! The salon will be taking care of my tresses from now on, and I will be sharing my thoughts on their services and treatments, as well as hair products periodically!
Conveniently located at Bugis Village, the hip and trendy salon is under the Toni & Guy Hairdressing Academy that offers state-of-the-art treatments at affordable prices.

The place also boasts of having its own leisure space, allocated for friends, boyfriends or kids of patrons to keep them entertained. A flat-screen TV decked with a PlayStation 3(no idea of the game selections), and stacks of lifestyle magazines to while away their time.
For Internet-addicts, be it checking your twitter or checking in via Facebook, you’ll be glad to know there’s free WiFi courtesy of Burger King located directly downstairs.

All scalp and hair care products used are from Sebastian Professional and Wella Professionals. I’m still sore that the latter discontinued a leave-in scalp treatment that worked really well for me.

To subdue my absurdly dry, frizzy mane, I underwent a Pro-Care Treatment, a 20-minute process that moisturizes and softens hair follicles.

OMG, I look freakishly “bald” here! Makes one think twice to do a Britney, aye?

Given its pathetic condition that might require more intensive sessions, my tresses weren’t rendered silky smooth afterwards. However they were significantly softer, more manageable and frizzles tamed.
With a skillful trim to salvage a diasterous haircut incurred from another salon visit which I will never patronize again, my locks look better as a whole. A better shape, in Bryan’s words.
Wella Professionals Enrich Straight Leave-In Cream (S$28) is used on the ends of my hair. A rich moisturizing anti-frizz cream that is enriched with shea butter and silk extracts that works to smooth and nourish coarse, unruly hair.
