Flawless Skin Routine – Sept’12

Category: Beauty Picks, Flawless Routine, Make Up, Product Write-Up

I have been receiving emails asking about my skincare routine since the publication of my most recent LOTD entry. My skin, then, was healing from a severe breakout hence looking dull and makes me want to hideout at home. Given that the skincare products I’m currently using doesn’t impart much brightening boost, I had to do some sort of improvising, makeup-wise, before heading to town.

Au Revoir, Summer 2012

Clarins Beauty Flash BalmS$70
Given its high exposure on this blog, I implore you, you and you to run out and get this multi-tasking product! A highly-dependable product that brightens and tightens my complexion instantaneously, it can be used either as a mask or primer. Hopping on the versatility of the Balm, I saturate skin with an appropriate amount of the Balm, blot any excess and then continue with my regular moisturizer. ━━━ [ REVIEW ]

Laura Mercier Foundation Primer (the original) – S$52
One of the first beauty brands to introduce primers to prolong makeup and enhance skin’s natural beauty, it is a water-based prelude to fresh-looking makeup. Enriched with antioxidants to safeguard skin from environmental assaults, the creamy consistency refines your pores too and creates a smooth surface. Trust me, it really makes a difference! For best results, refrigerate the product to reduce puffiness, something most of us dread seeing in the morning! ━━━ [ Launch Party at Sephora ]

Guerlain Parure de Lumière FoundationS$81
A foundation that not only boosts skin’s luminosity by merging radiance and light to boost skin’s luminosity, this new product also facilitates the transport of oxygen to energize the skin, in turn brings out a healthy glow. Its medium coverage is a huge advantage, and also score high points in the hydrating department. ━━━ [ REVIEW ]

La Mer The PowderS$123
The “airy” particles form a prismy veil, emitting radiance when light hits on the skin and a soft focus when captured on photography. On the downside, these merits seem to fade after blotting. ━━━ [ REVIEW ]
