During the week my immune system decided to take a slack, I developed an insatiable craving for naan. So my trusty dear friend promised to bring me out for the best naan in the country as soon recuperation period is over. That was a fortnight ago and I finally managed to satisfy the hungry monster couple of days ago.
Located in the northern part of Singapore, D’ Rubinah Restaurant serves South Indian, Thai Muslim and Western Cuisine, and is apparently well-known for their savory Roti Pratas and Thosais. Suffice to say, I did not get to try them on this trip reasons being a)small appetite b)Thosais are only available from 5PM.

At extremely economical prices, you’ll be spoilt for delightful choices such as Mee Siam, Bone Steak, Grilled Seafood, Tom Yam Chicken etc.
Our beverages for the evening:
Teh Cino – rather similar to Latte Macchiato; it’s milk with Tea layered on top.
Bandung – Rose Syrup topped with condensed milk.
This is my all-time favorite drink, besides coffee of course! This very friend of mine introduced it to me in high school and I’ve hooked ever since. In fact I was often teased at school for drinking it constantly during recess!

Simple dinner – Garlic/Plain naans for us, served with sides of chick peas and green bean curries. If you grab a set that cost around S$7, you get some greens, a sourish dip that looked like it came out of Ragan/Pazuzu, as well as portions of Tandoori Chicken.

Although part of its charm is eating outdoors, my flatbread quickly hardened before you can finish spelling W-I-N-D. Most people would choose to eat with their hands, but bringing wet tissues had slipped my mind, hence I had to eat *demurely* – that I gave up midway.
