DIORSKIN Skin-Refining Pro Lighting Makeup Base in 001 Radiant Rose
Claims to be the 1st Skin-Refining Makeup Base that produces an instantaneous effect as a professional photographer’s lighting, for perfect and luminous skin.
For those with dehydrated skin, you might want to consider the Youth Essential Hydrating Essence-In Lotion from their Hydra Life skincare range that drenches skin with much-needed moisturization and brightens complexion at one go.
The mild runny consistency contains a blend of light-diffusing particles -soft focus pigments and Halo Pearls- to reveal a refined complexion with a healthy glow. When applied, the primer is tacky enough to allow foundation and concealer to adhere onto the skin.
Encased in a frosted glass bottle, the dispensed product is pinkish with tinges of salmon hue to correct sallowness and give skin a boost of subtle radiance – the latter more discernible in photography. Free of glistening shimmers, the primer gives a very mild pearlescent finish and doesn’t accentuates pores nor flakes on dehydrated skin.
I’ve mentioned on several occasions that the major factor in my purchase was to counteract the sallow undertones caused by Estée Lauder Double Wear Maximum Cover, and other products that have the tendency to oxidize. The Radiant Base also aids the foundation to appear more even-toned, even if it oxidizes later in the day, but doesn’t offer any coverage.
DIOR Capture Totale Multi-Perfection Refining Base SPF25 PA++
Capture Totale is a transcendent anti-aging collection that allows vital cells to maintain regenerative potential and stimulates skin’s youth factors. The primer develops a screen of corrective light on skin, neutralizing imperfections and illuminates complexion.
Formulated for mature skin, it goes on exceptionally well on dehydrated skin and stays comfortably whilst the formula tightens. Its tightening effect is pretty mild, unlike the one offered by CLARINS Beauty Flash Balm. The soap-ish scent can be rather off-putting but tolerable nonetheless.
It doesn’t fill in wrinkles and lines, nor do I think the primer brightens up my complexion… Seems more like a heavy lotion to boost aging skin on a moisturizing level.
