Things On My Mind #5

If Mohammed won’t come to the mountain, the mountain must come to Mohammed.

I haven’t been in the best of moods of late, like a walking time-bomb with no idea where or when this vexation arose from. Reckon it’s due to the deferment of the planned sabbatical, which have been postponed till May. Sigh~ all I need is ONE day to not think about anything but my brain chooses to be productive when I’m most relaxed…φ(.. )

Already taken a toll on my skin, this unhealthy energy needs to be channeled out ASAP. Thankfully I stumbled upon a range of candles and diffuses from Yankee Candle yesterday. According to the SA, Island Spa™ repels mosquitoes with its lemongrass scent, but the website stated the fragrance is a blend of mandarins and lemon verbena, the very type of citruses I always go for. I used to have beads made out of lemon-scented wax in my bags and purses, but they are hard to locate nowadays. Here’s hoping, with crossed fingers, the lemon-scented candle will help calm my nerves and expel the anger within me.

I’ll hoping to get Vanilla Cupcake at a later date. Diptyque Oranger is also on my to-buy list. You can find Yankee Candle products at Takashimaya(B1), TANGS Orchard(B1) & Vivocity(L2), as well as Great World City(L3). Diptyque is available at Escentials.

This past week has been especially exciting with a bloggers’ preview of BECCA Cosmetics. Stay tuned for the event coverage next week☆

Also set to publish next week is reporting of Laura Mercier Launch Party. The makeup line is now available at Sephora Singapore, and I was told that the skincare and body products are likely to hit our shores in the coming months. Make time this weekend and head down to Sephora ION for free makeovers done by Tayaba Jafri, Global Artist & Brand Executive.

I love Yankee Candles too, the sense of relaxation and all round goodness when I smell one of these candles. My favourite is Balsam and Cedar. Lucky girl! You got to preview Becca, they have some really nice things. I want to go see Laura Mercier too! So exciting.

Laura Mercier is already available at Sephora, so go do some damage when you have time :P

I already have my eyes on several Becca base products – lightweight but with desirable coverage!
