I was recently invited to the Vedure Mediboutique to try out their new face and body treatment, previously available in individual packages but now have been combined into 1 single session to accommodate our busy schedules. The 2-in-1 Power Lunch Treatment takes place concurrently within a one-and-a-half-hour duration.
The slimming aspect employs the Quantum machine with modern ETR pads, placed on the waist and tummy to get rid of fat, that is equivalent to 20 minutes of workout. Unlike those vigorous treatments you see in advertisements whereby the tummy rocks left and right like a rocking chair, the micro-current machine takes to a more subtle approach but effective all the same. The treatment stimulates the muscles with a “relax and contract” action, going up to 10 levels depending on each individual’s endurance. I started at Level 2 with minor trembles on my midriff, and went up a notch where it feels like a whirl of tornado. It is, by no means, uncomfortable but that’s how I would associate the ongoing sensation.
After been patched up with the machine doing its work, my therapist proceeded with a basic deep cleansing treatment. All products used are by MD Dermatics. The facial began with the obligatory cleansing ritual – makeup removing and thorough cleansing with the Acne Cleansing Gel.
Then comes the Extraction Process that many dread about; in which case you need a pair of trusted and experienced hands, and I highly recommend asking for Cheyenne should you visit the Boutique at Wheelock Place. She was gentle yet immensely thorough, following me through every step of the treatment.
There are some salons whereby therapists would walk out of the room with every chance they get to “mingle” with their colleagues. Fortunately some of the better establishments, Clarins Skin Spa, Willow Stream Spa and Vedure utilizes the time by incorporating several massages between intervals.
A generous amount of MD DERMATICS Collagen Nutrient Masque (S$98) was applied and left on for 15 minutes, and boy was this good! My skin felt exceptionally supple with a brightened tone in the following days. Cheyenne concluded the session by sealing in nutritious goodness with a nice dose of MD DERMATICS Oxygen Therapy Cream (S$120) followed by MD DERMATICS Sun Protection Complex (S$90) to shield my aggravated skin against UV rays. I’m pretty keen to go back and grab a tub of the beneficial mask☆
The Vedure 2-in-1 Power Lunch Treatment is currently offered at S$280 per session; S$1,800 for 10 session. The entire treatment will take about 1 hour and 30 minutes: 1 hour for the facial; 20-30 minutes for slimming.
