Celebrating 30 Years of Innovation with ESTEE LAUDER

Category: Events & Launches, Featured Post, Skin Care

I was in attendance at ESTEE LAUDER‘s birthday extravaganza, celebrating 3 decades of groundbreaking DNA research behind their best-selling serum Advanced Night Repair.

Held at The Gallery, the event was attended by a local mix of the print and broadcast media, retailers and 2 bloggers(myself and beauty chum, Shirleen of WomenLoveBeauty). On a side note, it is a sin to leave the Grand Hyatt without a bite of their signature crab cakes! Wish they would lay off the mayonnaise though…

There were several activities set up for invited guests to take part in, before the actual presentation, to redeem attractive premiums. The station above allows you to leave testimonials in the form of Post-It notes; another station is tended by a staff, providing iPads that allows you to “Like” their Facebook Page. There were also makeup artists on-hand to demonstrate the various uses of the product.

The classic brown bottles were strategically placed around the venue; 2 large ones were placed on both ends of the room like Imperial Guardian Lions. Scroll up to the first picture and you’ll notice the number “30″ adorned with smaller ANR bottles.

Following the arrival of local celebrities Qi Yuwu 戚玉武, Dai Yang Tian 戴阳天, Eelyn Kok 郭蕙雯 and Jade Seah 谢美玉, the presentation commenced with a formal introduction from Brand General Manager, Ms Jo Yong. For someone who is in her late 40s, her skin is absurdly youthful. Her Secret? The classic brown bottle, of course!

ESTEE LAUDER Advanced Night Repair
The Night Repair Cellular Recovery Complex, launched in 1982, is a “groundbreaking discovery of working in sync with the skin’s circadian rhythms, repairing the signs of aging during sleep.” To date, the formulation has only been updated twice, with its ingredient list expanding with more extensive research to repair the skin at a deeper level.

{+} Protective Recovery Complex – Reformulated in 1991 with “proprietary anti-oxidant technologies to boost skin’s natural renewal process overnight.”

{+} Advanced Night Repair Synchronized Recovery Complex (2009) – Exclusive Chronolux and AGT Repair Technologies ensure optimal skin repair, and neutralize free-radical damage from the onslaught of UV and pollution.

For a limited time, gold-plated ANRs can be purchased from Estee Lauder counters; available in 2 sizes – 30ml(S$96) and 50ml(S$138)

Not content with repairing past damage and prevent future ones, this multitasker can be used to freshen your makeup, and also as a remover. The latter is definitely too extravagant to be used in such a way, right? Additionally, mix in a drop of ANR into your liquid foundation, or you can use it as a makeup base for a natural radiance.

Did You Know? On each cap are 3 gold rings that symbolize improvement, as well as dedication to always being the first and the best. The brand also prides itself in using the 1st UV-Resistant brown bottle that preserves the freshest formula till the last drop.

Attack of the brown bottles
The real McCoy; a quirky USB thumb drive; 15ml sample from my previous purchase.

Memorabilia from the event, and a possible accessory for the upcoming Chinese New Year.

Notepads featuring a bevy of beauties fronting the cosmetics company’s various campaigns – Joan Smalls, Constance Jablonski(unrelated to my favorite composer) and Hilary Rhoda. I’m missing Liu Wen to complete my collection, haha!

Lastly, photo cards to commemorate this unforgettable occasion☆

I snitch some from my mom and it broke me out. Like the comparison of the bottles! So cute esp the USB drive!

  2. Megan says:

I loved how this made my skin feel velvety soft! It is rather pricy, but it does a better job than others that claim to do the same thing. I think I’m going to invest in this soon!

  3. Hanna says:

    great coverage of the event!
